The Cabbage is a universally well known and highly valued leafy vegetable, consumed by Man from time immemorial. This is another vegetable which is at it’s best when eaten raw. If boiled, boil it for a few minutes, so that the leaves become soft and pleasant to eat.
The Cabbage is an excellent muscle builder and eliminator of the gaseous toxins and promotes the cleansing of the bowel.
Cabbage is an excellent source of vitamin C. It also contains significant amounts of glutamine, an amino acid that has anti-inflammatory properties. Cabbage can also be included in dieting programs, as it is a low calorie food.
Fresh cabbage juice has been shown to promote rapid healing of peptic ulcers.
